Payment Terms / Billing Policy
By submitting payment, you authorize applicable charges, deposits, or payment holds as disclosed at checkout. Payment disputes should first be addressed with the applicable service provider. AniMica reserves the right to provide transaction records to payment processors or financial institutions in connection with charge disputes.
1. 3rd Party Processing
Payments are processed by Square. By making a purchase, you agree to the payment processor's terms of service and privacy policy. AniMica may charge platform and payment processing fees, which will be disclosed at the time of transaction. AniMica does not directly store full payment card information. Payment credentials are processed and managed by third-party payment providers.
Information AniMica retains includes:
- Full name
- Address
- e-mail address
- Invoices
- Receipts
2. Pricing
All pricing is set by the service provider, not by AniMica. In addition to the pricing set by the provider, cost may include:
- Platform fee set by AniMica
- Payment processing fee set by Square
- Taxes
Applicable taxes may vary depending on jurisdiction and service provider. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and levies associated with your use of the Service, except for taxes based on our net income.
3. Deposits
Service providers may require deposits for certain services. Deposit amounts, timing, and refundability are determined by the applicable provider’s policies. AniMica facilitates the deposit to be paid at the time of scheduling.
4. Payment Authorization Holds
Certain bookings or services may require a payment authorization hold, deposit, or pre-authorization at the time of scheduling request.
When a payment authorization hold is placed:
- Funds may be temporarily reserved on your payment method
- The hold does not necessarily represent an immediate finalized charge
- Service requests remain pending until reviewed and approved by the applicable kennel, trainer, or service provider
- Upon approval, authorized funds may be captured in full or in part according to the provider’s pricing, deposit requirements, or applicable service terms
- If a request is declined, canceled, or otherwise not approved, the authorization hold may be released according to the policies and processing timelines of the payment processor or financial institution
AniMica facilitates this authorization and approval process but does not control banking institution release timelines, which may vary.
Users are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds or available credit for authorization requests.
By submitting a booking request requiring authorization, you consent to temporary payment holds, delayed captures, and related transaction processing as disclosed during checkout.
5. Refunds
Refund eligibility for services is determined by the individual service provider’s policies. Platform fees or software subscription fees, if any, may be non-refundable except where required by law. Refund requests should first be directed to the applicable service provider.
6. Cancellations
Cancellation policies are determined by the applicable service provider. Fees, forfeited deposits, or additional charges may apply depending on timing, provider rules, and service type.
Users are responsible for reviewing cancellation terms before booking.
7. Payment Authorizations
By submitting payment information, you authorize AniMica and its payment processors to charge, hold, capture, or release funds as necessary to facilitate requested transactions in accordance with disclosed pricing and provider policies.
8. Charge Disputes
Payment disputes should first be addressed with the applicable service provider.
AniMica may provide transaction records, booking approvals, invoices, communications, or payment authorization documentation to payment processors or financial institutions in connection with disputes or chargebacks.
Fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith charge disputes may result in account suspension or termination.
9. Limitation of Platform Responsibility
AniMica functions solely as a software and payment facilitation platform and is not responsible for provider service fulfillment, cancellations, negligence, or operational disputes.
